How is the lake doing. I heard that the lake was dropping to winter pool. Any reports on where the crappie are hanging in the Big Bear area? Not seeing any reports on any catches.

Just got back from a week at Big Bear. Tuff week. Wind blew, lake fell, cold front pushed thru. Tuff fish'n!!! The lake has kind stabilized at around 355 and change. Finally got on fish Sunday. Water temp. was between 65 & 67 depending on where you were. Found them on brush in the mouth of the bays on drops. Black crappie were in 9' to 10' and the White crappie were in 13' to 15' of water. Grape & chartruse tubes worked best for me that day.

Thanks for the heads up. My brother lives on the lake by Big Bear. I am in a carolina skiff (FL), if you see me say hi. Will be in the area for a week, how about a cup of coffee? Going to the slabfest in TN on the 22-25th.
