Man Whiskers. I thought you were going to say you were slaying them. I havent been able to go because of work and the rain. So i dont know where they are. I plan on getting out in the next few days though. I will let you know how it goes.

Had similar success (or lack of) last Saturday in Big Bear. I was focusing on 10'-15' water out from Moors. Had a lot of yellow bass/blugill bites. Hope the cool nights will get them feeding soon.

Default Everywhere

On the Crappie.com home page there is an artical about fll patterns. It says to consintrate on where the bait fish are. Well that's gonna cover a lot ground. My gosh, they are everywhere you look. In the bays & in the main lake. Hard to compete with the real thing.

Lake is fall'n fast too. Got to the ramp yesterday & MAN! Called a buddy & told him I was fix'n to launch my boat but after look'n at the water level I thought I'd just drive my truck out to my spots! Saw a guy yesterday knock the lower unit off his motor while I was jump'n, wave'n, and yell'n from the campground for him to stop. After he hit he raised the motor up & it wasn't pretty! Looked at me & just shook his head and said "that was stupid"! Big motor & big bucks. Out of state tags. Hope he wasn't practicing for the tourny this week.

I think the problem with the fish'n is due to a combination of factors. Rapid falling lake, big cold front, abundant food source, and my lack of ability to focus on the fish. I've had a lot on my plate lately & haven't really done my homework before I went fish'n. Hit'n the lake without a game plan. That's a BIG no no for me! I gotta get my head back in the game & off other things. Heck it might just be that I can't catch fish anymore.

The next couple of days ar gonna be kinda sorry for fish'n but good for studying! If things change I'll let yall know.

Hang in there Mr. Wiskers. It wont be long before those fish head to the bank and then you'll be back to your ole self of catching slabs.

went a couple times last week and did ok. jigs in 10-12' in 10-15 fow. all fish were good keepers, didn't catch a throwback. friday they were biting real light and lost almost as many as i caught. be on the lookout for a 1.5 lb + white with a red and white jig in his mouth. one difference is the lake was rising when i went. looks like it is stabilizing now.

you will be killing them ,(that is if you didnt just plain forget how to fish ,ha ha)

I've been catching a lot of fish on Rough River lake, but they have been small. There were a few good ones in the mix but not many.
