Default workout for the week ahead.

I've looked at a few kayak weekend preworkouts. Go to the gym and do some arm and back work so you'll be in shape for that trip. Well, no time for me to sit pretty in the gym. It's hard work that gets you where you need to be.
Last week I downed a tree, cut into firewood and hand split all that needed. Loaded it for delivery to my son's house since he heats with wood. At friday nights auction I found that the owners of the shopping center want to remove the sod and dirt from the islands in the parking lot and replace with gravel. My truck will hold 31 5 gallon buckets, shovel once not twice. I started at 1 pm and did 3 loads today. Try for an earlier start tomorrow to see how many loads I can get. Looks like this could be an all winter project. A dump trailer would be nice.

Not sure how much you have in your bid for that job, but you could make quick work of it with renting a mini excavator, skid steer front loader and a roll off dumpster. Or can stock pile the dirt and dispatch a dump truck or trucks on site when you need them, be less expensive then the 30 yard rolls offs.

Thanks Joel, more expense than I can handle. My son was looking at dump trailers, but his truck is jacked up for repairs now.
I'd rather have a good workout followed by a few PBR's than sit back and watch it done.

This morning I backed into the same spot, same tire tracks that all these loads have been dumped to the gulley at my son's house. It's mostly sand in these buckets. I climbed into the bed and started dumping the buckets off the tail gate then the rear end dropped. Finished unloading then the tractor to pull me out. My son was going after a scoop of dirt and run over it to pack when I left.

Sounds like a prety good workout. My Dad used to say "You don't need to go to the gym, I'll find lots of work for you." And he did.
