    Default Found a new spot

Had the kayak out and was making some overlays. Came across some nice drops earlier in the morning and wanted to check it out before going home. Wish I had taken some gear for Gills, bet ya could have some fun in there. Like being able to cover a large area in just a few passes.

What kind of unit are you running? I'm interested in a SI for my small flat boat. Does the quick left and right motion from paddling effect the image on the screen?

Nice images. I really like the path showing the side imaging on it. What brand and model unit do you have. I have an Hbird 798 SI on my kayak and have never seen a route with the side imaging like you posted.

That's down right cool! I'm not sure if that is a Lowrance, I know that some of their rigs have that capability, but that is just nice. Thanks for showing us!

Thx guys, for me it's just part of the fun reference to the unit. Fly bye your close, I run a Simrad GO7xse. No issues when paddling due to how I have the xducer mounted forward and center of the kayak. Kayak tracks pretty good so the left right don't effect it.

Yes. Just got back from a camping trip on the Cumberland River. Used it up there but on the third day my sonar looked like crap. Pixelated really bad instead on the arches and SI was "just not right". Took my xducer cover off the kayak and the bottom was covered in a fine sand. Just food for thought for those that run a cover.
