Default Row row row your canoe!

A week's worth of wood working before work and here it is a rowing station for the canoe. Should make those long trips a lot shorter. Sorted through a lot of information on oar building and placement of the oarlocks hopefully the rain will pass quickly around here and I can get it on the water and see how it does. If it works as good as it looks you will be flying across the lake. Great craftsmanship in that.

I did see that I left one of the arms unfinished in the photo. It is clamp on so I can remove it when I want to just paddle the canoe.

The oars took the longest. The rest was a lot of measurements to get it all in the right places. It is a learning experience.

That looks good. Paddling a canoe on long trips by yourself can be slow and tiring...I like it. I am looking forward to a thread on your Adirondack Guide build.

This will let me sort some things out and see what works before the Guide boat.
