Kanopolis Reservoir 4/30-5/3
I carry a disposable camera in my tackle bag for pics and as soon as I have them developed I will be sure to post (lost one digital to the deep).
5/1 - Caught 12 in about 2 hours
5/2 - Caught 10 in a little under 45 minutes
We were up in Marina Cove swimming red headed white curly tailed jigs. They were also hitting on pearl colored tails. Thick sticks in about 2 to 3 foot of water. No real slabs, but with as many as we caught made a nice mess of fish. We also landed 2 large mouths and 2 walleyes on the jigs. One walleye was legal and one large was legal, but only kept the walleye.
Weather was overcast with a high of around 57
water clarity was stained due to all the rain
Water temp was around 53 due to the nice warm days before the rain came in.
We didnt have a chance to hit it, but reports were coming in that the slabs were sitting tight over in Yankee Cove around the docks.

The Walleye spawn is done but the Whites have yet to spawn. I feel that we need one solid week of good weather and the Whites will start. I always enjoy fishing Kanopolis for Crappie. It seems as though that the size has gone down than what it was say 10 years ago, but overall still a great fishery.
