Here is a link to the local lake levels. It looks like they all are gonna be rising fast from the rains. Hillsdale seems to be the only exception only going up a couple ft. I think there is more forecasted in the next few days. I wonder how this will affect the spawn?

Just came back from Clinton Marina. They(COE) told them that to expect 13 more feet. They also told the marinas at Perry to expect 17 more feet. O ya, dis effects de spawn. Ever heard of bad year class? Ifin sum have spawned, there gone, not enough time for those to hatched. If it stays high long enough for males to nest, it wont be very long the lake drops. Dis ain't good! But as I have been told by the COE, "Son, dis here lake was built with 'hard earned' tax money for flood control, eber ting else is 2ndary". We will just hafta live with this card we were dealt. "GO WEST PLIGRAM" as the Duke wood say. Glen Elder, Kirwin, & Webster are just fine anda der be sum gooduns swimmin der. <*)}}}><

You'll see the difference,,,on the end of your line!
Chatt---Do you think this could actually help the spawn? Meaning they will still spawn in the same locations where the males were working the last week which would now be in deep water? So therefore fewer females caught and more crappie babies hatching?
Nice thot ole young grasshoppa. But they need sunlight to hatch. Dats why in more stained water dey be shallower than in clearer H20. <*)}}}><

well poo. I was trying to find a silver lining in this whole ordeal. I am glad I did not take that week of vacation next week.
I've always heard that it only takes 14-16 hours for the fry to hatch.
I don't think we got as much rain at Hillsdale than you fellows that live just a few short miles to the west. I had 3" in my rain gauge this am. Course with the corps dumping tons of water over in MO, I doubt they will be letting too much loose here.
