Friends always call friends when the bite is on. I called Marc last Thursday afternoon and within a couple hours, we were putting em in the live well of the ol 'Blue Heron'. Here's the link to the story he wrote.

"A favorite tactic for Roberts now is to use a spinning rod and reel and pitch an ounce jig near shore and slowly retrieve it. If the shore is particularly rocky or brushy, he likes to suspend his jig with a small bobber placed about a foot above it."
For all you statist collectivist liberal utopians take heed!
"Those who seek to create heaven on earth and who, to this end, subvert the liberty of others and embrace the administrative entitlements state will sooner or later become its victims." Paul A. Rahe
Hey...big baits get big fish...and the bobber is the size of a baseball.
When you are a writer...never know what the editor is going to change or cut. Marc probably had 1/8 ounce and the number got cut.
I had an editor at a magazine run a graphic of a 5 inch paper graph strip upside down. Heard about that for several years.
However one time at Wilson I was jigging a 1 ounce jig with a 4 inch tail for Stripers and caught a 10 inch Crappie.
Just for fun...might have to see what would happen with an ounce jig on those slabs...hmmm...if it catches a slab...I will post a pic complete with jig.
