    Default Broken Transducer

Last week I saw that my transom mount transducer was broke at the mount. The plastic had just cracked so it was still working. I added a little super glue to get me through my 2 days of fishing last week.

Now here comes the redneck or cheap ass part of me. Before I spend $75 on a new transducer have any of you ever had this happened and fixed it to where it is pretty stable? I hate all of those As seen on Tv commericals but that mighty putty stuff they have looks like it could possibly hold it and would be a lot less and get me through the year. I am looking for a stop gap, because next fall I want to upgrade the unit and move it to the front for the trolling motor and I will need to get a different transducer then anyway.

Any suggestions or has anyone used the mighty putty stuff?

    Sorry you dissaprove LBM
The new process I use with pvc is easier to explain over the phone than typed. I dont expect anybody to freely post their phone numbers on here as I dont want mine posted. As for propietary if the proces works for Chad he can offer me a beer or soda some time that would be payment enough.

ditto....just make sure everything is warm....broke mine this winter and puttied it up when it was in the 50's during the afternoon...got down into the 30's that night. Puddied it the second time with the air temperature was more suitable (took it off the trolling motor and brought it inside). Live and learn...
