Thread: Cold Water at Hillsdale

I was lucky enough to sneak away from work this afternoon to answer a question that has been nagging me,what is the water temp at the back of the coves?Today I found that the lake was 45 degrees as a general rule and the coves only a degree or two warmer. The warmest was north of the bridge on the Little Bull. 48 degrees.
We cleaned a bunch of crappie over the weekend and found quite a few females with runny eggs and blood in the sack.... My bet is they are more PO'd about the weather than we are. Reckon?
Crappie King: Glad you made it back safe and sound to New York. Now maybe our weather will improve. I noticed New York's weather has taken a turn for the worse.

Thanks Sacolat trip back was good but once again it was warm here while I was there in the snow and windy cold and now that I am back it is snow and cold here go figure but I do have to say I enjoyed myself once again. A bad day of fishing is better then the best day at work.:D
