The White Bass are doing the nasty in the Deleware River. Went to 92 this morning for Crappie, no luck. Loaded up and Put in at the Deleware and had a blast. The Deleware is very low, and i got to find stumps that were in the middle of the river that i've never seen beforeI also saved several waypoints on some very good looking stumps that i can fish as soon as the water comes up. There were 8 trucks in the parking lot and everyone was fishing north of the boat ramp. I headed south and only say one boat all day.
I also caught my first sun burn of the season. When i looked at the Weather Friday night, everyone was saying " Mostly Cloudy". Mostly Cloudy my butt, there was not a cloud in the sky after 12:00. I'm headed up there again tomorrow. The wife is having surgery on Tuesday, so it will be a couple weeks before i can go again. She has been having terrible headaches and motion sickness. So I took her to the doctor 4 weeks ago, and she has a pinched spinal cord between the 5 th and 6th vertebrae. I will post another report after i get back tomorrow.
I caught a few whites up the goon today.....only 21 crappie between 2 of us with only keepers around 10-11" each....had one goodun get off at the boat that would have been 14 " or so, but it was good to just get out for a couple hrs.
chad what was the water temp on the goon?
al
fear me ye that dwell beneath the waves
52 in the morning....we left at noon as we had to get back...it was up to 55.1 then....water clarity was better than I expected....still some debris downstream towards the lake, but much better upstream...
There were a few other boats in there pitching jigs right on the banks and catching a few smaller ones...Our bigger fish came out on the drop off in 6-8 fow.
Nate good luck to your wife with her surgery
I was thinking about heading up the river tomorrow, but I'm afraid the thunderstorms tonight are gonna make the water look like chocolate milk. Don't know if it will be worth it now.

I was on my way to Perry this morning and made a last minute change and went to Rock Creek at Clinton. I only managed 2 males and 2 females before my trolling motor died on me. Both males have turned black, and the females were fat. The river must be atleast 3 ft high and falling.
Just out of curiosity...how was the water temp, especially later in the day?
thanks
John
