Thread: Lakes are opening up!!!

Wilson is open with several open boat ramps. Kanopolis is open with probably one usable ramp.
Marion was starting to open on Friday. Marion County lake was open on the lower end with one usable ramp.
Looking at weather maps out to 10 days, no artic blasts.

This is a good place to let others know about open lakes and lake areas so if you have some good info...let everyone know.

Heard On The Radio This Morning 2 Guys Fell Through At Wilson This Weekend. One Drowned The Other Made It. Whats The Story? I Couldn't Imagine Being Out There When The Weather Has Warmed Since Last Week.

Most all the experienced ice fishermen quit going after Friday morning at Wilson and Kanopolis. I talked to a friend today at Wilson that told the guy that drowned that the ice was not safe.
Fished Wilson today from boat had 5 Walleyes and 1 Crappie. Lake is open with most of the main lake boat ramps usable.
Pattern on the Walleyes is river channel breaks. Our fish came out of 43-45 ft. Best lure was Zoom super fluke jr colored chartreuse with an orange tail.

Fall River is open. It is a shame, but it happens every year at least once. His family must be crushed.
