Thread: Perry Spillway

Has anyone been fished the Spillway at Perry lately ? It looks like that have dropped the lake 2 ft in the last week.

Was at Perry spillway last Sunday, release was 4000 cfs and was there on Tuesday, release was 500 cfs. I was optomistic I could catch a fish but that was not the case. I did see many, many others catching fish though. The eagles and sea gulls were getting in on their xmas feast early. The water is very clear so it was easy to see the stunned shad. The birds were having a hay day. I did not see another person there the 2 days that I was there.
