    Default Sharpen your ice augers

I can't find a weather forecast that predicts a day above freezing this week or for the next 10 days. It's time to be nice to those buddies with power augers. Get out the checklist for hard water angling. Ice cleats, depth finder, underwater camera, sled, short poles, tiny jigs and spoons, auger, hand warmers, pack boots, toe warmers, ice skimmer, phone list of other idiots who ice fish.

Last time that the ice formed in mid-December...it was late February before we could put a boat on. It's not my favorite way of fishing but it's better than playing couch potato on the days when the weather is decent.

To heck with all this. I am headed to AZ for christmas... you guys can enjoy your hard water. I will be golfing in shorts and tee on Christmas day thinking of you all.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D
