Ok fishers. I have not been on the water in 3 weeks and just got moved into a new house this weekend. I have all week off next week and plan on putting the boat in the water for the last time this year next week Monday-Wednesday. I have seen a lot on Melvern and will probably hit there and Hillsdale and maybe Coffey County for a multi species day....Anyone have any other suggestions?

I went to Hillsdale today and there are alot of fish under the Little Bull Bridge. I did catch a few today, but the wind blew me off of the lake.
Chatt and I caught plenty of crappie at Melvern yesterday, kept 6...the wind was pretty strong mid-morning and settled down to a small gale in the afternoon. We caught all the fish on piles around 20' with jigs and tubes.

WARNING!!!! Let me tell you this,,,,For a fisher that said "I don't jig-fish much" Well, he does now!!!! Everytime I looked around, BA was hooking another one. Changing jig weights and colors like a pro. Had a GREAT time with him. Wind was tough but, the bite was on. You will see him at Hillsdale next to a bouy slammin' them with his jar of nibbles,,,REAL SOON!!! <*)}}}><
You'll see the difference,,,on the end of your line!
Yesterday was a lot o' fun with the Chattster.....I was very relieved that no one fell out of the boat! I have learned a ton about jigging with both Chatt and Nate the last two weekends. I also received crash courses in electronics and boat control. I am going hit Hillsdale Wednesday and try to put it all together in my own boat.

Thank you Al and Lee. Their info about Melvern was right on. We got on fish the 1st pile. That's what this board is all about!!! <*)}}}><

Sounds like a good time....
Lee as far as putting the boat away now I agree....A few years ago I had great times out during the winter. But my main fishin buddy moved and the others are more beer drinkers than hard core fisherman and only get out in Sunny 80 degree weather. So I do not go out by myself when it is that cold...I have fallen in before (Thanks Chatt) and do not want to do that in 30 temps. So I will put it away and fish the docks at Melvern and Hillsdale from time to time. But if any of you need someone to go with you I love to go and will chip in on gas etc. Just let me know.
Well the winds are looking ok for tomorrow for another go at Melvern especially after the sunday report on Melvern.
Now if only I could entice some more details as to locations such as on the dam, mid lake, upper lake, north shore, south shore, points, coves, and even waypoints would be acceptable info that might save some time in re-establishing where they might be. :D![]()
Where just a few caught on the brush then on to another? I kind of felt like the other day I probably should have stayed and probed deeper and tighter in the brush and not moved on as soon. Just curious.
Thanks and really looking forwards to just how great this board could be at sharing info. :D![]()
