Gents,
With my recent cold and bronchitis(I left a lung somewhere in toronto lake:D) and the rainy weather, I am starting to day dream about a January vacation. Of course this is a crappie vacation. I am considering North Texas or Alabama....where would you go if you had the chance?

Lake O The Pines, Texas.
December and January? Fall River or Toronto...if its windy (but not coming out of the west) Melvern.
Would be hard pressed to go somewhere else...thats just me.

I would say Lake Eufaula or Fort Gibson in Oklahoma. I'm headed to Eufaula on the weekend of January 10 th and 11 th.
Drifter we will need to hook up some time this winter down at Fall River. I plan on going down sometime in January or February to put some brush around the dock.

Yes that sounds like a plan...talked to Duckman the other night and he mentioned that you do a lot of fishing down there. For us, it seems like its around the time quail season opens that we can start putting some quality fish together in numbers. The dam always produces large numbers of fish (7-9 inch) but you have to catch the right day for the slaps to be there. Each year we put in a few brush piles up on the lake and they have been producing for us. Working the shore line (in the river bed) can be very productive too.
