Yesterday morning went to Douglas State Lake. It was cold. Wind from North with temps in the mid-40s. Fished the Jetties on the Northwest side. Crappie are hitting. They're all black crappie. Fished from 9:30-11:30. Caught more than 20 fish. About a third were females. About 1 in 4 are 10 inch fish. Crappie are in 6-8 feet of water. Used a variety of plastics. Color did not seem to make much difference. I did have best luck on white twist tails. They fought hard. Once you got past the cold wind, It was great bank fishing
