I have always believed that that summer, like winter fish go deep. Seems that this is a misconception any opinions on fishing for crappie in less than 6 foot of water in the middle of the summer? You hear of people catching them even in 2 foot of water wonder why they don't go deeper when deeper water is available?

Not sure all lakes have a thermocline and yet still catch them in 1 to 2 ft just wondering why they wouldn't go deeper. Trying to figure out what would keep them there..
