    Default Ouch.... Crappie Injury

My Thumb is killing me this morning. It hasn't been this raw in years. I have actully worn all the skin off of one side and have a sore on it. :D
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

NO... I am just talking about my thumb. I am afraid if I post anything about crappie fishing I may not give enough details and get banned from the board. Then what would I do for my fix... Just kidding had to do it.

We have been hitting HD this week with parent teacher confrences, work is a little slower this week so I have been taking advantage of it since I did not get out much the last 2 months. Went yesterday morning with Adam for a couple of hours and then went in the afternoon with HV and Lucky. I figured the bite on the front edge of this cold front would be good all day and it was. Adam and I only fished a short time in the morning but the bite was as expected. We did not keep any and where off the water by 8:45 but we could have easily kept our limits with several 12's and 13's. Fish came out of everywhere, all three brush piles at Maryville are on and the trees north of the little bull. Also saw a bunch come out of the Little Bull bridge. We used mostly slab busters with red and chart being the best color by far.

Headed out last night after a good day of working and fished with HV and Lucky and the bite was good but not as hot as the morning. We cleaned 35 and we where the only boat on the lake so we had free run with no rain and the front was not there yet. Biggest was around 13. Friday through Wednesday has been real good.

Seriously though, my thumb really hurts...

man sounds like some good fishing. I wonder how the front will affect the bite? I imagine Sat morn that place will be loaded with boats. May still give it a run.

Those are the kind of injuries that are easy to take. WTG, guys. Sounds like some good fishing.

When I have fished with Adam it was usually my neck that hurt, not my finger. I worked all summer trying to break him from launching his crappie(usually my direction). At my age it puts a crick in my neck doing all the ducking required to keep from getting slapped upside the face.
