Fished the nastiest brush we could out of the wind 16-23' FOW on the bottom. Lost a few jigs but it was worth it. Lots of different colors just had to keep changing. It was a 70/30 keeper to dink ratio most in the 11-13" range with a few around 14. :D 35 touched the knife.

Great pic and congrats on the day. Good lookin mess of fish.
What lake Boss?
What a tease, good luck, I bet you just forgot to mention the lake, huh boss! dkv
:D DKV, You knew we were at Melvern, just an oversight on HB's part. There's only eight million brush piles out there, you just have to find the right ones!! The guys at the ramp we talked to said it was a tough bite, one had six and the other had only nine. They were fishing similar brush but were using minnows, there boat control was a little lacking in the wind, and there rods looked a little heavy for the bite. One of them said he didn't like losing his jigs.
We only lost about 10 jigs in two days of fishing, pretty cheap fun.
We forgot to mention the twenty three fish we caught the day before while trying to figure out a pattern!! Prolly really go spank em next weekend.:D
You fellows just hang in there giving it some more time and the CDC Kansas board can also achieve the same high standards and levels as experienced on the Daves Country board where tons of fishing info was so willingly being shared and exchanged and where it wasn't just a place being used as a brag board.![]()

GOOD!! post LeeIt's real hard to exchange info here from those tourney fishers even tho there are no tourneys going on. They will take info but have to be squeezed to get info back. This aint no braggin board here unless DETAILS are givin. <*)}}}><
You'll see the difference,,,on the end of your line!
Ok....so it was Melvern. Thanks
Couple of cranky ole codgers here this morning??
Like I said, prolly an oversight in his haste to get the posting up. 90 percent of the time we're only fishing fishing four lakes that are close to Topeka. Never knew HB to hold back a lake before. If the pictures and the quantity are condsidered to be bragging, they could be left out. Then it would be pretty dull posting for everyone else as well, wouldn't it. As soon as I saw the post, I gave up the lake and HB would have to if he wasn't working today. If you read the posts, all the information is there per your requests in the past, ie; lake, presentation, and depth. What more do ya need, GPS coordinates?? I only fish about one tourny anymore so your case about tourny anglers is off base, perhaps the same could be said about area guides, lots of good stuff going out, but not much usefull coming in.
That outta get your blood pressure up a little more today!! Sheesh, quite honestly, I thought you ALL were pretty accomplished fishermen and didn't really need secondhand info to go have a successful day on the water!!
:D

Hef yes it was Melvern just an oversite on my part. And to LBM last I checked there was NO fee for posting or viewing on this board, so as long as I don't use vulgarities I should be able to post how I like. If I want to brag I can, If I want to give details down to the side of the boat I was fishing and what color underwear I have on (lol I know Chatt's always interested in that) I can do that also. Your constant badgering for more information is getting old if you don't like my posts I suggest you quit reading them.
