Toronto and Fall River are basically the 2 lakes that I fish...what comes out of that lake in the warm months of the year doesn't carry a candle to what is taken out during the winter. Biologist for KFGAME is well aware of what goes out of those 2 lakes in the winter and he has told us that even with that type of harvest the fisherman don't put a dent in the crappie population.
Yes, I know there is more "pressure" on the lake but nothing it can't handle...I have been over there to many times and the parking lots are full. Don't get me wrong...not complaining...just noting that over the years the number of boats on the lake have been steadily increasing. Was a time when only 2 or 3 trucks are parked at the ramps (weekend). Even now, I can go over there during the week and MAYBE one or 2 vehicles are there. You gotta remember, Toronto is also known to be a hot spot for people pursuing other species of fish. Both lakes are pretty much isolated and really only see a lot of traffic on weekends. The thing I have found out about Toronto and Fall River over the years is that many times their just tough to catch. Same type of day and you can go to Melvern and catch all kinds of fish (size). Each lake is unique in itself (ecosystem)....guess thats why they call it fishing!
Gonna have to concur with slayer on this one...you ain't gonna hurt them!
