me and my buddy are headed to pomona tommorow afternoon once he gets off work. i've never fished the lake but here a lot of good things about it. whats the least busy ramp down there? its kind of a pain for me to unload my boat into the water and it takes sometime so i dont know wanna hold anybody up. someone want to point me in the right direction of where to fish os is it one of those lakes that you can catch fish at on any tree? not asking for anyones secret spots just the general area of where to fish. thanks for all your guys help.
Drew
Very little boat traffic there. State park ramps are both good. I use #1 most times. Head straight across the lake to the 110 arm. I would start in 10' or less and hit every tree you see. Good luck.
thanks for your help chad. i looked at an online map this morning and found out where the boat ramp is. if your looking at a map,is the 110 arm going to be on the far right side? and is their a bait shop close by? thanks for all your guys help
you get your bait at the corner where you turn north off the hiway. it is right next to green acres resturant
Remember "I" before "E," except in Budweiser
green acres is a good place for bait and where I always buy mine....also a marina in the state park can take care of you.
I am not sure what you mean by far right. But if you are leaving the state park cove, literally go straight across the lake into the arm. There are boat docks on the left shore and trees start there and go back. It is the second arm on the north side of the lake from the damn. If you do not see trees you are in the wrong place. it is the only arm that has trees.
thanks for all your help. i should be able to find it and if i cant then im pretty stupip lol i will give you guys a report when i get back. hopefully were gonna leave around 2.
Was there Tuesday, the wind did blow from every direction, going across the channel the waves were almost two feet. Fished from the back of 110 mile towards the front. Most of the time the wind dictated where we could fish. Also broke out the rain gear for about and hour. The fish did not cooperate, caught 12, 6 were real nice. Minnows and trees, nothing on jigs. I am not giving up, I will have a good day there yet. Maybe tomorrow, fishman 7, if you see a red tracker come by and say hi.
Ron, when do you get a different boat? No wonder I didn't recognize you at Clinton, but then again you had a cloud of bad luck hangign over your boat with the guy you had in there with ya! HaHa!
No the bad luck was in his own boat that day.:D That was the reason Ron caught all the fish that day and had to show me where to catch my only two fish in my boat.
It will be interesting tomorrow seeing if Ron will let Slabbyjoe catch any more fish at Pomona than I did while in Ron's boat.![]()
