Thread: My weekend

Had a trip planed for Friday at Clinton. Cancelled because of the wind & rescheduled. Also had a trip scheduled for Toronto for Sat. Soooo, off to Toronto Friday afternoon. Got minners all warmed up and on the water by 1;30pm. Fished Toronto cove 1st. NOTA BITE!!!. Wind was dying down so over to Mann's I went. Fishing every tree in ALL depths above 12ft. 4 hours of this and only 3 crappies with one being just over 12in. Went to the dam,,,nota, went to brush piles at Duck Island,,,nota!!! Headed to the back of Mann's when I see it ,,, 2 colors of water Dang algae bloom It was getting to late to hit the river but, I drove across it on 54,,, it looks just fine. I called my clients and told them the situation. We decided to move our trip to Melvern. That evening just across the hiway from my room at the Townsman,,, one of the best firewooks :D displays I seen this year. Met my clients Sat. at Arrow Rock ramp. Headed to the cove with trees to do some dipping. 1st tree on the East side,,, 2 keepers in just 4fow, 2ft down. WOW, this is going to be fun!!! Best bite came in less that 8fow 3ft down. O yaaa!!! The Tic, tic, Tug was in full bloom. About 4 hours of this and off to the piles. Man, ifin ya can't catch crappies anywhere, drop minners into these piles. Hits and hits. 1 keeper for 5 dinks but got limits. Headed to Toronto again this weekend but ya will prolly find me in one of the feeder creek/rivers. <*)}}}><

what is up with the crappie at toronto all of a sudden. damn picky arse crappie. hopefully they will change there way of thinking come this weekend. we shall see! glad you found them chatt. nothing wrong with hit'n other lake's every once in awhile i gess guess we alway's have woodson to. i need some eater size fish:D

Naaa, Chad. Ole BA has left one in there that I'll be tryin for everytime :D out. They're there, ya just gota get them hungry. When we fished Melvern last Sat., not all the piles produced the same. Closer to the dam,,,,better the bite. Hind-site,,,wish I would of fished some deeper spots at Toronto getting under the algae bloom. <*)}}}><

I'm planning on leaving here at buttcrack thirty. Should be in Yates Center by 7AM to meet you for breakfast. If not, I'll see you on the water.

i think the same thing chad, everyone should'nt waste their time. it was good while it lasted.

Somedays you might as well go fish in a stubble field. Of course the Dow was just so so on Friday.
