Pomona Saturday
Went to Pomona yesterday and it ended up being a good day. Dipped trees and fish were real shallow. Did not catch a fish in deeper than 10' all morning. Some as shallow as 2' but most in the 4-8' range. 29 keepers with all but 5 on minners. Beavertails and slab slayers just were not producing.
After I ran out of minners I went out looking for piles Chatt was talking about. Gonna have to work those more.:D. Caught a couple pigs in the few minutes I worked over a pile. Boat traffic made it tough to stay on em.

Your are having much better luck than I have, maybe I should sneak on your boat and watch.

Sounds like Pomona is coming on but I wish it was more of a jig bite. Anyone ever try those gulp minnows? Have a friend who says Whites and Wipers like em. I've never tried em.

Way to go Chad! I think Pomona will only get better as the summer progresses. Also, I am wanting to fish the cove at Melvern with the timber(Lowmans?).Fished my Father-in-law's strip pits this evening and caught some slabs. We ended up keeping 10 fish 12"-15".One 14" had the widest back that I have ever seen in a fish that size.Minnows where the bait of choice tipped on a crappie pro head.Furthermore, we caught alot of green perch and my trophy of the day a 2lb. bullhead.
