Thread: any clinton reports

Anyone have any recent clinton reports, I'm thinking about taking the day off tomorrow and I'm looking for some get started tips.

Fished Clinton Friday right after the rain. Caught several really nice crappie from the trees on south side waky ? arm around the corner from the fireplace. The bite was really lite. missed alot of them. Only one fish from each tree.Could not catch any on jigs only minnows 1/32 jig head.

O-BOY, dats my :D:D kinda bite terrybb. How deep were the ticks? I'll prolly hit the Rock Creek arm but aint expectin much after FD cleans dem out to morrow. <*)}}}><

Probably won't hurt em none if its a minnow bite! Reckon I'll have to get a couple dozen crawlers to try to jig up some eyes just in case I can't find a jig that will catch crappie.

There was no pattern to the depth. I just tried every tree at bottom to top.
Dan, Probably none of my business but, why would you use live bait for eyes but not crappie?

Does anyone know if that filling station bait store at the entrance to Clinton is now back in business and open at a respectable time for a fisher wanting minnows? A respectable time by the way is before civil twilight which is usually about a half hour before sunrise.

Or am I stuck with having to stop at that station on Clinton Parkway and Wakarusa where those a-holes demonstrate just how well then can count to 12 or 24 or 36 as they dispense their sorry looking minnows from water that looks like dishwater.

The last time I stopped in there for minnows the idiot handed me the dipper I had left in the minnow bucket as though that was going to interfere with the minnows in the bucket. Probably some PETA retard.

Dang just thinking about going to Clinton puts me in a bad frame of mind just thinking about minnow options there as compared to the minnow options when going to Hillsdale.

LBM----It does not open till after sunrise...I think it may even be 7. Seems like I got there once at 6 and still now one was there by 6:15. I could be wrong, but when getting there before 6 I go to Miller mart which is open 24 hrs and it sounds like it is not your favorite. But I have not really had too many problems with the minners there, but they are tight on their counts.
