    Default Carp bite

Man did we ever get into the Carp last night at Kanopolis...night fishing under the lights. Had some nice Whites and a few Crappies in the livewell when the depth finders clouded up with big arches. My buddy hooked into what we thought might be a big Walleye. Turned out to be about a 7 lb Carp. When the buglemouths moved in the other fish quit. It was quite a bite with the ones we got to the boat over 5 lbs...enough to make those european carp finantics wet their pants. Caught em on white tubes. Moved a couple times to other areas on the point but they just kept following us. Nice thing about carp fishing...if you get broke off...it's a relief.

Carp put up a good fight. They'd be alot of fun on light tackle, especially when nothing else will bite.

Sound like fun to me, I`ll happy to catch whatever bites. A carp puts a bend on rod, an streches a line.

AWESOME! Good one, Chad!:D:D:D You made me spit out my coffee.

Carp, drum, gar, bullheads, snapping turtles... Now there's a fishing tournament I might have a chance of winning!

On a serious note, does anybody know where is a good place to catch a shovelnose sturgeon? I'm serious now. I saw a picture of one, and I really want to catch one. I figured I would ask since we're on the subject of "recycle" fish.

Nice job KS99. Sounds like you had a good time!

I don't know if they were shovelhead or not but I used to catch sturgeon at the dam on the Kaw. They probably glow a green color from the nasty water by now.
