Man "It was HOT!!!!!"
3 days of 100 + temps and light winds. Calmest I've ever seen Eufaula for that many days!. Got there Wed. afternoon about 4pm. Looking out across the lake north of 69 and it's looking blue(instead of red). Thursday morning put in at hyway 9 landing at 6am, headed to Longtown. Water had 4ft of clairity. Dipping trees at all depths trying to get some kind of pattern going. At 10 am, we left, just 3 keepers and not very many bites. Went to the bait store and got minners. Went to Bristle Point. Sad road getting there and ramp is getting worse. Slowly going down the west bank looking for the standing timber, the water had 6in of clairity. Tied on 1/32oz jigs and hooked on a minner. 1st dip,,,, 12in blacknose crappie. This is BETTER :D. Dipped trees in all depths and 6ft seem to be most productive depth. From 11 to 4pm, put 40 in the livewell but caught at least a 100. Did I mention it was HOT???.
Friday back to Bristle, but at 7am and put in at Crowder Park. Worked the east side. Quit at 2pm with 30 in the well, that when cleaned had as much meat as the 40 from the day before. We are getting dialed in on the slabs!! Saturday, used the Arrowhead ramp(should of used it every day), wind:D:D:D light but steady out of the south. THE BITE WAS ON!!! Keeping nothing under 11in, put 50 in the well. went thru 2lbs of minners and then put on Washoppas and caugh more but not the bigguns. Those fish FILLED 2 gal. bags when cleaned:D:D:D. Every day we left them a bitin'. Saw surface temps in the 90's. Great time with Robyn & Frank from Concordia, Ks. O

, fished with the new rods from Cherokee rods. All I can say is SWEET!!. We have talked about spider rig poles and he brought some blanks over. Look out B&M. Going to be back in September to field test them. CAN"T WAIT!!!! <*)}}}><
You'll see the difference,,,on the end of your line!
