Thread: Lake Perry - Last Sunday

Made another trip to Topeka and worked on the new house -

way out in the sticks off 49th street & hoch rd

was in town for 10 days ......last sunday we rode out to Perry w/ the lil boat I have tucked away in the barn out there......

all I got was 1 in the net....any tips ?

That's quite a catch there. I've never caught anything like that at Perry. I may have to say to heck with worrying about spreading the Zebra mussels around and start plying the waters of Perry again. :D

Now I'm just wondering here with you being a VIRGINIA GAMEFISH TAGGING PROGRAM MEMBER which one of the photo subjects ended up as the tagged one there. :D

Anyhow welcome to the heat and humidity of Kansas which might be found as relief for someone from the Virginia coast.

Boy I am headin to Perry next week. What did you catch her on??? A case of beer and shots of tequilla?

What was you approach on that one? I see them frequently at Hillsdale ~+5 fow laid out in party cove basking in the sun however I am just not sure what to throw at them??

If I may inquire, do you need a big tube or will a little tube catch those beauties?

well in my case its an older wrinkled one......must have been the chase bait and i snagged it !

Nice catch, do not believe it was at Perry, the water is to blue. Next time you go fishing I want to go TOO. U be the man.
