I would also what is considered close. Although some of the cruisers that are pulling skiers causes wakes that travel clear across Clinton lake. Getting hit by large wakes broadside sure rocks my pontoon boat, sometimes knocking myself and other things over.
Maybe a SPEED LIMIT sign at the boat ramps with the regulations would help. Or water patrol/police on the lakes during weekends ticketing or issuing warnings.
2 Years ago i reported a cruiser that was too big for Clinton that caused 4 foot wakes that really rocked my 24' pontoon to the game warden with his ks numbers, asking the warden to write the owner a warning about his wakes. The warden told me he knew who he was and he usually boated at Perry so he was going to talk to the guy in person which would do more good than writing him.

I have had some of those experiences at Pomona lake on more than one occasion. Try to fish on some points, and I've had three different boats go between our boat and the bank, and we were only in 20 feet of water ,and maybe 100 feet off the point. I'm sure they do it on purpose, I have seen them do it to other boats trying to fish there as well. That's why I will never go there when the water warms enough for the ski boats. I know the lake is for everyone, but you wouldn't know it once you are out there.
