Default Pomona/thunderstorm

Last 2 times I have been there I have waited for a storm to pass while having breakfast at Green Acres. This thunder really shuts off the shallow bite. Did meet Springhill Duckman and HV. Nice guys. Was with Hef and we struggle most of the day. Did FINALLY get on them but, had to fish 15ft down close to the bottom. Even left the trees to fish brush piles. O well as they say "That's why they call it fishing,,,not catching". We did boat 35 or so neither of us used the clicker as we were C&R all day. Got my 2nd boat check of the year. Not a thing wrong with that or my boat!!! Toronto is on the list for this Friday <*)}}}><

haha, it was good meeting you guys. We enjoyed breakfast.

I guessed when you pulled out of the trees prior to the second storm coming through you were afraid you would "float away"??

We pulled off Pomona without a fish. We stopped at Hillsdale on the way home and within 1 minute of getting to our first stop had a fish on. For 2 hours it was steady however we only managed to keep 9. Is it to much to ask to drop the length limit a quarter inch? We did have a great time on both lakes.

We will be going down to Fall River over the holiday weekend and I plan on making my way over to Toronto also. I can't wait!! Hopefully I'll see you guys down there.

I pulled 18 out of Pomona yesterday. You are right Chatt, the shallow bite was not there. All fish came in 8-10 ft of water. There are still tons of shad in that cove. I will be there all three days this weekend. I talked to the owner of the Gas station next to Green Acres and he said that he is catching a few off of Adams Grove Point. I'm also going to run up the Dragon Creek.

Nate be careful trying to get up the good from the main lake...Very shallow water....I have had trouble getting there in my tracker....I would recommend just launching a the ramp in the creek if you plan on fishing up there....Thats not a bad idea actually....gonna have to head up there soon myself.
