Default Pomona Fishermen

Do any of you who fish the lake often know of the "good flats"? KC Star reports crappie, white bass, and hybrids are biting on the flats. Planning a trip there tomarrow and trying to put together a plan B if the tree dipping doesn't work out. Thought mabey I'd pull some cranks. Also, Chad and Hef how did you guys fare today? Thanks wiperhyper

We absolutely slayed them today. At the end of the day the number on the counter was 140!!! Chad and I put the hammer down on them today, we went through five dozen minners and then we got out the Yum Beavertails and continued to kill them. We had many, many small fish, but I did clean 18. We had three that were over 14 inches and one of those was almost 15 inches. We rolled another 4 or 5 hogs at the boat but could not land them. I forgot my camera, but Chad took a couple pics of the two hogs with his cell phone hopefully he will post them soon.

The bigger fish were caught in 5-6 feet of water and seemed to like the Beavertails better. There was only one other boat dipping tree's besides us and they didn't stay long. We had all the tree's to ourselves. Go get'um boys!!!!!

MAN WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I probably caught at least 80 fish and cleaned 20. I had 10 fish over 13" and none under 11". Biggest weighed 1.5. I did loose several HAWGS including one that could of weighed 2. I caught all of the fish way back in the trees in 4-5' of water. All fish were caught on 2" Pumpkin and Chart Beaver Tails. I was on the water at 7:00 and i did not catch my first big fish until 12:00. I will be there next Saturday and Sunday.

What a day is right. Got there at six thirty trolled around some and got to the trees. We caught at least 50. Fifteen kept from 11in. to 15in.. Were done by 12:30. Guys I would say if you haven't experienced the hot shallow summer crappie technique it's only because you haven't given it a fair shot. Try it it works. Nitro I think I saw you when we first got to the trees. You were headed west. Where can I get some of those Crappie Pro jigheads. Can't help but think lost fish would be minamized by a little bigger hook. Thanks again to Chatt for sharing this technique. wiperhyper
