Default Clinton or Perry?

Anyone been on Clinton lately? I was going to go to Toronto Saturday, but its just too long of a trip when you have to be back early in the afternoon. Trying to decide on Pomona, Clinton or Perry.

Chad - for what its worth, I would scratch Clinton from the list for crappie. From my experience last week and LBM's report from a few days ago, the crappie are not in the "trees" as you've all been finding them. Plus, from today, there is a huge algae bloom going on right now; at least in the Wakarusa arm of the lake - just as Chatt predicted.

Thanks for the algae bloom report. The fish are always to be found at Clinton, but they can be a tough bite at times. The algae bloom can really turn it off, but sometimes it does not affect it as much at times as the fish in shallow water get used to it quicker...At any rate, probably not going to there if that is going on....Have heard some bad things about Perry in the last couple weeks and a buddy who it Pomona yesterday said it was really tough....Dang...What to do???

With my current lower confidence level in this fabeled "Shallow Summer Slab Pattern" I would not state that the crappie are not in the trees since I did pull a couple of nice ones off the trees in Rock Creek but they sure weren't shallow.
For me the water in Rock Creek was a little murkier but not bad enough that I didn't think they couldn't be caught. I didn't notice any algae bloom then but it doesn't take long for that to quickly change.

Guess your not seeing any help from my post. Anyhow good luck on whatever you decide.

Thanks LBM....Probably make a last minute decision. Was thinking Pomona again, but the wind is forecasted 10-15 out of the SE. That is not the best direction for fishing the 110 arm, and it is ideal for being on Clinton. So we will see. We will report in later in the weekend.

Yeah the breeze will be appreciated, but its more of the direction. That arm runs SE/NW so it would come right up in there...Probably not going to be that bad and there is less traffic than on Clinton...

Chad and I will be at Pomona in the morning. We will be in my maroon and pewter Triton if you see us come by and say hello. Hopefully we will have a good report tomorrow.
