Default Working in Wakeeney(Cedar Bluff?)

Hi, I'm going to be building a dollar general in Wakeeney, was wondering how the crappie fishing is at Cedar Bluff. Won't have a boat just bank fishing or perhaps below the dam. Any help would be nice.

I'm from Rogers, Ar. would be glad to return the favor. I live right here on beaver lake.

All i've heard about so far is the wipers(stripers i quess) are running. Hope that's not all.

A good friend of mine fished a bass tournament at Cedar Bluff a few weeks ago. He said there were giant walleyes stacked up on every wind-blown point that were smashing crankbaits. He said the white bass bite was pretty good too.
I don't think he caught very many largemouth. In the same situation, I would say, "F*** the tournament, bring on the walleyes!" But, I guess that's why I don't fish bass tournaments.

A wiper is a striper/white bass hybrid. They fight like mad things esp on ul gear. Get get on the KDWP site for a pdf to id them. There are length limits and it's easy to confuse whites with small hybrids and stripers.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys around. Be real nice to hang a couple fat walleye's. Wonder if a little doodle sockin' round the riprap could snag some slabs?

Anyways I'll be arriving in Wakeeney Sun. p.m. maybe I'll catch something.
