Default Bamboo

Does anybody know where i can get my hands on some Bamboo ? I want to make some Crappie beds out of them. I'm sick and tired of making the beds out of wooden skids. I'm willing to drive at least 100 miles around the Kansas City meto area. I have no idea where this stuff grows. I know that it's popular in the south.

Default check the zoo

You might check at the KC zoo, Topeka, Wichita, Manhattan. I don't know where else. The only place I ever see it growing in Kansas is at zoos. Don't know why. I guess they like to plant it around gorillas and other primates...

Default I was serious

NitroNate, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I was serious about calling the zoo. Bamboo grows and spreads like weeds. The extra has to go somewhere... Might as well get sunk in your lake.

Willows work the fastest of anything as the minners love the leaves. It does rot away in just one season. PVC is prolly your best bet. Rough-up the tubes with sand paper and the algae will coat them sooner. But with the way you are catching them,,,,WHY???? There must be 3000 piles in Perry! <*)}}}><
