Talking Plan "B"

Well....The rain hit hard here in Olathe this morning so I stayed at the house. Now I need to figure out what I am going to do tomorrow. How much rain did Lawrence get, has anyone been on Clinton in the last few days?

Pomona is also on the short list, anyone know how much rain they received up that direction? Has anyone fished Pomona lately?

Anyone info will be appreciated.

I cleaned 10 nice ones this morning at Clinton that I caught before the rain. Two of which were pushing 13". All of these crappie were holding very tight to the tree in about 15-18 ft of water. Caught my share of snags, too. The rain - according to the CBS news last night "30% chance, sometime around 2 pm" -Right!

Was out last Thursday also and caught 6 keepers in the same places along with a limit of channels. Hope that helps.

Hopefully Clinton is decent tomorrow. Heading there tomorrow. The one thing the rain did was cancel the events at work so I got Sunday off. Was going to Perry but I think I will hit Clinton instead.

Crappie fishing was slow I think we caught 3 dinks, but the channel cats on the other hand were hot we caught 3 limits of cats over by the old fire place. Not crappie like I wanted but I wont throw away cat fish either

Slow for me too on Clinton. I could have went to Banner Creek and caught them, but wanted to get home at a decent time and spend the rest of the day with the family. There was not much clear water to be found on Clinton today.

I got freed up in the afternoon and headed back out there. I found the exact same thing as you all - the crappie were slow, but the catfish were on. I ended up with a limit also. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

KCSLABS,you should of stuck with plan "A" this weekend. I killed them at Perry yesterday. Got there at 7:00 and had my limit by 12:00. All came in 8-10' of water. None of them had to be measured. All the fish were caught on Black and Pink Beaver Tails.

That is just my luck, if I would have hit Perry then Clinton would of been hot. So you were better off with me not coming out but I still want to hit that lake before fall.
