Default Newton area?

Hi all,
I'm looking for advice again... My in-laws are wanting to host a family campout near their hometown of Newton, KS (North of Wichita). We've kicked around the idea of Harvey Co East Lake, Marion Lake, and several others. If anybody from the area could help me out with advice about what lake to go to, and maybe a good campground there, I would appreciate it. I would say we'll all be tent camping. There will be lots of kids there, so I would like to avoid the keg-party campground...
I've looked at the KDWP website, but it's hard to tell where to go just by reading a description. Thanks in advance for any help!
