Default Where to go ?

I am on vacation all week and am trying to decide where to go this week. I want to stay as close as possible because I will be fishing all week. How is Clinton, Perry, Pomona?

Hef, Melvern is good, Pomona is good if you fish the new flooded timber in the small coves on the north side up lake from the 110 arm. Read my post on Banner Creek. Even you could catch fish there!!! Heh! Heh! Heh! I gota get back there and dip those trees! <*)}}}><

The fish are bitting in Slough Creek at Perry. They are in the trees on the left side of the cove all the way in the back. Fish 9-10 ft with Black and Chart Beaver Tails.

I do not think I would spend too much time on Clinton...Although some fish were caught this weekend it was tough and they really started pulling more water yesterday, but they are even pulling more from Perry, so maybe it is not affecting the fish too much.. But I have heard good reports from Melvern and I am going to head over there early next week or I may have to check out those black crappie at Banner Creek... See the link below for the water management on the lakes. Good Luck!

Sounds like a good time! Has anybody ever fished at Council Grove City Lake? I need somewhere to go on Friday since I'm getting COUNTRY STAMPEDED out of my saugeye spot. I saw the city lake for the first time last weekend and it was pretty clear and clean, but didn't get a chance to fish... Or... maybe I'll crash the party over at Banner Creek...

squirrels; Years ago, I fish the city lake for the walleyes. There seem to be 1000's of them in it. Story was that the state came to stock the CORPS lake with walleye and asked one of the locals where Council Grove lake was. They were sent to the city lake and dumped the walleye fry in. It is a deep lake with lots of drop-offs. The KDWP nettings at the CORPS lake had a lot of 4lb + saugeyes in it. I tried to crank some 2 weeks ago without a bite. In fact 3 hrs of pulling and nota bite on anything. I've done my best in both the river & creeks that feed the lake. There are ramps on the Neosho River & Munkers Creek. Beautifull State park for camping. <*)}}}><
