Default Hillsdale Trotline

I met up with a friend who was camping this weekend at Hillsdale. We set out two trotlines Friday night, here are the results. That was the best night I've ever had for sure! The scales we used to weight them were not real accurate, but initial results range the flatheads from 30# to 40#. Unfortunately, the largest one broke the hook as we were trying to wrestle him into the boat. You know, 'the one that got away'!!

Nice catch there LL.

Now I sure you are not one of the folks that abandon their lines out on Hillsdale.

Over the years I have fished out there I have come in contact with moss covered lines with my trolling motor and jigs on several occasions. I don't have very good thoughts about those folks that have abandoned their lines out there and in my hierachy of values those folks rank well below the slimey moss that accumulates on those lines.

Not me; I'm way to cheap to throw away a good trotline!

I know what you mean though, I've found a number of the old slimy lines myself. What's worse is finding the abandoned lines with fish still stuck on there waiting to perish.
