Went by Eureka City Lake today with my crappie buddy Jerry C. We started fishing around 2:30 caught 56 keepers off the bank...mostly dark males..Used a leaded float and 1/32 ounch pink head jig with blue sparkle - white body....Action was fun and some males were 11 inches....Unless we get a lot of rain action should be good for a week easy...Good Fishing everyone....

Any help on which side of the lake you were fishing? I am heading out there Saturday morning early.

Found em on the South Shore past the first cove..Work the Hydilla or stick moss between the docks..Look for open pockets and place your cork up next to the moss and they'll hit it strong...Hope the rains calm down and good luck to you....

Went out with my 21 old son Sat. at Eureka but we only caught 15 and they were scattered.The rains have messed it up and this is the worst spring for cold fronts I can ever remember...

Went out there first thing Sat. morning and the lake looked like chocolate soup. We ended up going to Council Grove again. Caught 12 in about 4 hours. This weather has definitely put a hurt on them.
