Awhile back CSI (Pro-Tech) changed owners. Some users, on another site, noted difficulty in using some of the new PP. It could be that you do have a bad batch. CSI also supplies Netcraft.

Pour the pp on a pane of glass or a mirror, level it out, and look for clumps. Use the back of a spoon to mash down the pp.

Try adding 1 or 2 table spoons of clear to 1 ounce of red.

Make some extra cups using membranes that have different sized pores.

what kind of material is the bottom of the cups made of and where could i get some or would it be cheaper to just buy the cups from a dealer?

I used paper coffee filters on my cups. They seem to work fine. I made 5 of them

Not sure where you got your fluid bed - can't tell you what your medium is. Like LD said you can use coffee filters - have read where someone has used pillow case material. Some use micro mesh screen.
