All's I can say is you better not miss the next swap I've gone over over over the edge you'll be getting something you can never get else where it took me awhile to dream it up I had to repay Fish-4-all or at least get even I think I got him this time !
I'm ready for the next one and wouldn't miss it for the world.I'm wondering what you got up your sleeve, maybe a few aces ??
Hmm, guess I am gonna have to pull out my 4 color weave. Is actually easier than crocheting them if you can keep track of which one supposed to go next. That is if I can find the instructions again.
Anyone know macrame.
I hope this doesn't get too competetive, my crawdaddy is the best I know and getting any more complicated would be a full time job to tie 20 of them for a swap.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
Aw Fish it's just something new for every one not fancy I'm gonna get Me some old limbs build a frame real pretty kinda like structure put some velvet over a board and mount all My swap jigs in it call it the frame of fame.
I think the main thing is that I'm having fun with the jig swap and I'm inspired by the tyers on these sites to become a better tyer and fisherman. A little friendly competition couldn't hurt either.I've been picking some great ideas in the short time I've been with Crappie.I wish I'd picked up on the site earlier.
I love it. I finally get to use my stuff for something other than trout and salmon flies.
I need the variety of jigs anyway. Has to be some way for me to catch some of those big ole crappie I see caught in the only lake to skunk me. All 7 times I have went to it. Maybe if I fish 25 jigs at a time I will get someting to hit one of them!

I haven't even got my jigs from the current swap, but I'm ready for the next swap. I've got several ideas that I could use.
I don't know what kind of water you fish, but you could do a lot worse than fish with the colors I had my special on with stained water & Clear water.
Look down at the bottom of this page that this like is to and look at the colors on Assortment #7 & #8 and I know you can catch crappie on most all of these on most any lake.

Like Skip said...there are some colors that fish are going to bite. Id say there are maybe 6 core colors. White, (bright)flor. or chartruse yellow, red, black, blue and pink. Solid or combinations of any of the above in two or three colors to a jig and you cant go wrong.
I think the only combination I havent caught on, of the above, in two colors together, are red and black and red and blue, but I havent tried either! Most others are just for looks. These generally get the job done in some way shape or form. Although some days you may have to break out something different. I caught all day on solid yellow.....lost all my solid yellow and tried white, nothing, pink, nothing, yellow and orange and it was on again, eventually landing me my largest crappie.
