Get the best you could afford, most compressors that come with a kit are very loud. A cheap brush does not work very well, get a good brand.

Lookup Airbrush on your PC a lot of great sites The cans of air work, but do not last long, and do not keep the pressure even, The most important thing about AB is to keep it clean, you need clean dry air for a AB to work well,

That I don't know yet also. Thought about getting one to paint those little spoons but not sure. Being such a small item I wonder if I should go with a double instead of the single as you said in your pm. If I'm only doing spoons I also wonder if I should not do the airbrush at all.

But then I could always paint those licence plates you pick up at the beach that say "Joanie loves Chache"

I have been using an airbrush for a long time, and once you learn how to use them nothing does a better paint job , nothing, As far as the double if you take your time to learn your brush you can do a lot more, as you press on the trigger and pull back you control the amount of paint , on a single you just press down the trigger down and the air and paint mix to the size of your needle,
