Default Have you seen these before

Would like to show a pic of some jigs that are made in my area of Ohio, and see if you have seen these in your area of the country. Have only seen these made in 1/80 & 1/64 oz.

I have all the materials and can make them pretty easy and I am sure the bream would like them as probably would the crappie. I just like the action I get from a feather tail. Not that I wouldn't tie some to try, but them finding there way on my line is another thing. Confidence is a huge thing and I have confidence in feathers.

I did make some the had some of that coming off behind the head as legs, but still had the feather tail.

Here is a picture of what I mean....

I do think this was a 1/32, but I have all the way down to a 1/80 oz.

I have seen something similar here but the store in now closed. Were a black body and white tail or a red body and yellow tail. Not exactly the same but looked really close. I like those colors better
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I've been making a few of them recently. I have a bunch of spinnerbait and bass jig skirts that the rubberband melted away, so instead of throwing the material away... Some of them have larger flat strips and I think they look like they should catch fish. Just started to tie them this fall so have not had a chance to try them out yet. I'll see if I can get a pict and post what I've been doing.

Where in ohio are you located?

When Gofishohio - Ohio fishing reports, lake maps, Angler's Forum, Ohio fishing information, state record fish, boating info, Fish Ohio Awards.

was up and running there were a few guys on there that did them. Try posting this question on the Ohio board and see if they are still doing that. I'll bet Speckwick knows or check with Carl (Big Daddy on gofishohio) I know that website is no longer active, but I recognize a few of the names who found this forum. I hope Mangini gets it right! Go Browns!!!!

I tie something similar to these only i have about 6-8 strands of the silicone skirt in the tail.I call them rubberbutts and make them in sizes up to 1/16.They have really good action with the legs flaring out in the water. They will catch fish...

AtticaFish- Lima area, as for using silicone, yea that will work somewhat, but it seams kinda fragile, compared to the round rubber skirt material, which is tuff stuff. And jannsnetcraft, has it cheap.

shipahoy- I believe, not sure, that gofishohio, is now ohiogamefishing.com. Have seen the name Bigdaddy, mentioned on there many times. Visit that web site often, if not here. And have shown these jigs on there, but did'nt get much of a stir.

As for the Browns, i Hope, like they say, Every Dog Has Its Day.
