fish_4_all asked for some jig pictures to see different patterns. Here are some from a member of Texas Fishing Forum.
Hope you like them. He's a good tier and a heck of a crappie fisherman. His handle there is SLABmeSILLY
I like them and have most all the colors and have a few on my web site, but don't get as many calls of them as my other ones.
Have a load of Krystal Flash Chenille and it is really beautiful stuff. I also use a lot of Crystal Antron on my personal jigs because of the added little flash and it last better than regular chenille. Just wish I could get it in skeins like the other stuff.
He always ties nice looking jigs!

Those all look great but I have to say I am thinking that I put WAY to much effort into making a jig for crappie. All of those fine patterns that catch fish and take 5 minutes to tie and mine take 20-25 minutes for a good quality one. I need to drop it all and get out my chenille, marabou and flash and tie some easier ones!
Would any of them be considered "minnow" patterns?
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
A lot of nice looking jigs
