You could use them with an 1/8oz head and it would be good for a shaky head rig.Originally Posted by BubbaTN

Will those work in a 1/16 or 3/32 Do-it mold?Originally Posted by koobycrappie

well, I stand corrected, see that they just go to size 6. Still do not know why any one would want a hook any smaller than a 6. I am sitting here looking at my order of size 4 that I ordered and they are plenty small for crappie.

I have a do it mold and they work just fine. I can't remember the model # because the Granger crappie guide has my mold and is pouring the jigs for me if I supply the hooks. I will try to find out for you!

I have poured from number 6 up and not a big deal on the small hooks. Just takes a little longer to set the hooks.
But be careful, You will have one in your finger there that sharp.

I have some #8 sickles that I pour for the smaller jigs. I just sell the jig heads. I have a customer that has grown quit found of them. And you are right, one way or another they will get you when you are loading the mold....![]()
I keep a lot of #8 Sickle hook jig heads and have them in 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, and 1/8. The ones in 1/8 are a little small, but Mark Robinson uses the small hooks to help him to not loose so many to snags.Originally Posted by GrouseFly
When I run low in 1/64, 1/32 & 1/16 I will keep replacing them with new ones and I like them because they are small enough to make a small jig profile enough for me. Not so sure I will get more 1/8 with #8 though, but have a good many anyway.
GrouseFLy makes the best jig heads I ever bought!

I have been using sickle for a couple of yrs. and they are sharp, but they do tend to straighten out with larger fish 2lb+ and they bend at the first bend, they can be bent back in shape numerous times, have had several break. The ones that have broke,at the eye or at thr bend. Still a good sharp hook.
