    Default 1/24oz head question

Does many people use this size of head? I was looking at getting this mold, but if there is not a huge demand for it I don't need it. I have a 1/32oz and a 1/16oz mold. Just curious to see what everyone has to say.
Also what about a 1/100oz head?

I would be hand tying on them all.

I use a 1/24th for trolling deeper water. Usually tye a pattern in 3 to 4 different weights (same hook size) for trolling - covers different depths.

I guess I use it a lot more than I ever planned to. 1/16 oz collarless heads for tying actually weigh in pretty close to 1/24. 1/32 oz is closer to 1/48. So a 1/24 collarless would be just a hair light of a 1/32 collared jig. Guess I didn't answer your question after all that.

In all the years I have been tying there just have not been many people asking for that size head. I did tie some, just not a lot and I still have heads. Also know the 1/32 Oz Pony head actually weighs a little over 1/24 Oz! Actually right at 1/22 Oz for the Pony. Of course most 1/32 Oz heads with a collar probably are close to 1/24 already, lol!

I've been tying the 1/24 and like using it. I find it - the collarless - the fall about the same as a 1/32 with a collar. I have a friend that wouldn't use anything but a 1/48 collar. I poured some 1/24 for him and told him they were in between a 1/48 and 1/32. He loves them.
    I never used the 100's.
I had this conversation with Skip a couple months ago and it seems like all the collarless jigs weigh about the the next smallest size with a collar. Just our thoughts

When I fish I normally use 1/32oz or 1/64oz but this last winter I did purchase some 1/100oz marabous to try.
I can't think of the situation right off hand but there's one in fishing where it pays to downsize.
There's several on eBay who sell 1/100oz jigs.

We stopped using 1/80th & 1/100th w/small hooks because of fish mortality rate. Even though they are very effective the fish tend to inhale the jig deeper and you get more gut hooks.

    That's good to know. Thanks...
So I'll only use my 1/100oz When I'm keeping fishing.

I primarily use either 1/24 or 1/32 oz jig heads...
