Default My Upgrade to a Rotary Vise

First off this is not to discredit anyone’s preference to any fly tying vises

this one fit my own personal needs as versatility and cost.

I wanted to upgrade to a rotary vise due to fingers becoming little less flexible as they once were back in the day, there were also other reasons, curiosity, something different, a challenge etc.

Kind of looked at it as one would be into buying a vehicle where what is needed for driving from point A to point B, in this case resulting in ones fly or jig creations.

Budget in my case was a factor, as features; from the Best to the Least were another.

My fly tying is not full time, as I enjoy creating soft bait, so the Cadillac or
    Porsche’s models weren’t really necessary.

Due to my disability and relying on crutches, I was looking for one that I could dismantle put into a case and relocate lets say from a lower level to upper one.

Well found one that had everything that I needed including a case,
Some of you have may have guessed already
Yes, finally decided on the Griffin Montana Mongoose,

I know it may have some draw backs to a few, but as I mentioned for my own personal needs and convenience this should work out just fine, and should be a fun challenge for an O’L Amateur like me.

    Default Gonna Like this Vise

Took a little taking adjusting for ones creation,
but once you get the hang of it seems there's little guess work to it

    Yep!
Feel I made the Right Choice
    Let the creations Begin

This is a good vise to be sure! Seems the last two vises bought by guys on here that have posted about it have made excellent choices!

    Default Ugly Mold Creations

Seems Amazing what the out can be

using an ugly JB weld mold
some scraped lead or solder and a soldering iron
finishing up with a fly tying vise

Did a quick tie on these yesterday
from a drift minnow, to some jig bugs
