    Zonker actually are fur/hair still on the hide. For example they take a rabbit hide and cut it into strips long wise and these are Zonkers. There are also Crosscut strips where they take same rabbit hide and cut into strips from side to side and the fur/hair comes off a crosscut to the side making it a very good piece for the body of a jig. The Zonker can be used the same way, but the hair will stick straight up and look quite different, but used as a tail is how it's best used IMHO! I will come back and post a few pictures of jigs to help this.

    Here are two picture I took way back in 2008, but should help some. The second picture is all Rabbit Crosscut strips and the first picture is using both Zonkers and Crosscut strips. Personally I like just using the Crosscut strips as I think they make a fine looking jig!
