Guys, here are a couple more pictures for you to scrutinize and give advise on.
My wife bought me a vise and some tools and some jig tying material for my anniversary present. So I have been playing around with some very basic ties. I want to try some chenille on my next ones but I am lost at how to secure the last couple of wraps. Any help would be appreciated. Here are a few pictures of some of my first jigs. Please feel free to scrutinize and pass along any advise. I have already learned that a plane shank is easier for me to tie than a jig with a collar and barb. Hopefully I will learn more as I continue to tie. I am not getting into the retail business. I just thought it would be neat to catch a fish on a jig that I actually tied myself.

When you get to the last wrap take your thred around the chenille 3x, then around the jig 3x, then back around the chenille 3x then whip finish. that`s how I do it. there is meny ways i`m sure, skip or one of the other great tyers on here can give a lot of good info on tying.
Don't forget, super glue (a little dab) works great. Your gonna get addicted, I can tell.
Nice looking start. There are some great you tube videos on tying that helped me a lot. I love those red sickle hooks, that's all I use anymore

Welcome to the addiction. Tying materials have a way of multiplying while your bank account goes through subtraction.

Welcome to the craft of tying. I already see a big improvement from the first pics to the second pics on your wrapping of the thread body's. I can see that you are well on your way to becoming one of the tyers that will want more materials weekly

May want to check out the sticky post at the top of this board for new guys! Big help for most.
Also so once I have everything tied in all you need to is a 5 wrap whip finish. Either by hand (I do t like because the thread catches on my old dry hands) or the whip finish tool also talked about in the stupi my post.
here is a couple links, but there are other sticky post that should interest you.

Thanks for all of the kind words everyone. And, all of you are right, this can get addictive and expensive. I visited Bass Pro Shops yesterday and picked up a few new materials. Even my wife kept saying "you need this and you may need this." It was so funny. I got some chenille and tried my hand with it last night.
