I like his site because he has pictures of everything he sells right on the item page. No need to switch back and forth between pages or guess on colors based on the item name. The shipping is fast too.

I should have mentioned Cascade Crest Tools in my original post as they have good service and good products as well. Don't think it's just tools either since they have that in their name you would think maybe that is all they do, but no and they are the best place to get Crystal Antron which is beautiful chinell that has a little sparkle in it and easy t tie a great looking jig with! They have a lot of items!

Here is a link to them.....

    Default Jig heads

I've tied flies for fly fishing for years, but would love to start tying crappie jigs. Most of the jigs I buy have a "jig saver" lead hook on it. When I powder coat paint my jig, this becomes very slick (and hard to tie). Where can I buy affordable (around 15 cents each) 1/16 and 1/8 size unpainted jigs with no "jig saver" lead extrusion? I would like to just have a ball head on the jig, that is all that I am looking for. I would be happy to buy in bulk. Then I could tie a beautiful body on the jig hook. I have been to most of the popular web sites for crappie fishing and can't find them. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

There are several places you can get them, but think maybe you should ask this on the main Jig Tying Board? Link to that board... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/jig-t...-making-forum/
I am thinking all you want and need is some heads without collar which is what we all use for the most part.

If you visit there site, bear with it. They are in the process of upgrading.
Every time I have ordered from marriotts they have put my items on backorder and have have to wait nearly a month to get my items but I have only ordered from them a couple of times

These tips and places are a good many years old now and some are not as good as they once were, like Marriott's! I have not bought anything from them in probably 8 years. Try other places like Crazy Angler, Barlow's Tackle, JS Flyfishing or heck maybe even me if I have what your looking for. There are a lot of places, but know some just drop ship from some other business.

I just added a note about how this thread is 14 years old!
